Alright friends, you started off the summer by celebrating our wedding with us in DC, and now, we hope finally sharing photos of that wonderful weekend will be a beautiful addition to your autumn. Sure, we’re a little late in getting these online, but hey, we had to fit in a new job and move across the country!
We can’t begin to express how much fun we had celebrating with you all, and hope you enjoy checking out the photos from the weekend, especially the photos of dancing at the reception – seriously, you all brought your A-game! (Yes, Eric, Steve, Josh and Maureen – we’re talking about you!)
And while you’re cruising through the photos, we thought this song might be an appropriate soundtrack to enjoy.
We’re just one month out, and despite all the tasks still remaining, there is one absolutely critical job that we have finally started working on – selecting the music.
With that in mind, we hope you enjoy this taste of what’s to come:
As soon-to-be-newlyweds about to combine all our worldly possessions, we’ve registered at a few stores for the wedding, leaving it up to you, dear friend, to choose your own gifting adventure. Our registries are listed online at:
Today marks exactly 4 months until our wedding! Regardless of the hustle to get things done, I’m thrilled about having a short engagement. We have a place, a date, a dress, a website and are about to get invitations out the door. Great accomplishments for such a short window. We’re probably most proud of the things we’re doing that are unconventional, like skipping printed invitations. There’s been a hearty number of hours logged behind the computer to get this show on the road, but it’s easier than dealing with paper, and better for Mama Earth.
We’d love your suggestions on where to register, since that’s next on our list. We’re also about to start planning the honeymoon, so feel free to pass on tips. A tropical setting with good hiking would be ideal!
After proposing to Qui in the barrel room at LaGrange Winery, I still had one more surprise in store for her. As we toured the rest of the estate house, we turned the corner to discover twenty of our friends waiting to surprise us. Of course, it would have been even more fantastic to have so many of our friends from around the country – so I did the next best thing and set up a live webcast of the surprise.
This beautiful short film has come to be a source of inspiration for us this fall. It’s simply gorgeous, and captures so much of the beauty and timeless joy starting life together.
